Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) should stop, Greco Belgica said

Greco Belgica wants to put and end to Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW).

Largely because the certificate Belgica claims, is not in our constitution but it adds a great burden to fellow Filipino that wants to work or find work abroad.

“Bago ka makaalis, pag walang kang OEC hindi ka makakaalis, haharangin ka” Belgica said adding that “Itong OCE wala sa batas to”.

Belgica said that its the government who’s making the lives of OFW hard.

“This is a policy ng POEA [Philippine Overseas Employment Administration] na nag papahirap ng taong bayan.” Belgica stressed.

“Imagine, wala ka na ngang trabaho dito at finaly may taong gusto ikaw kunin, kukunin ka dahil nakita ang resume mo and sasabihin sayo ng immigration or ng POEA na hindi ka pwedeng umalis” Belgica said “Your employer never required” he added regarding the large number of document requirements needed.

Belgica ran as a senator in the May 9 polls but fall short of reaching the top 12, he ran under President Rodrigo Duterte’s camp.
